What is the difference between include() and include_once() functions in PHP ?

[ also require() and require_once() ]

  Joseph Ranjan wrote ...
include_once() behavior was similar to the include() function , with the only
difference being that if the code from a file has already been included, it will not be included again.

so include_once() is better than include().

Same applies for require and require_once functions too ...
